Zone of the Enders 2: The 2nd Runner

Many people probably remember Konamis first Zone of the Enders, perhaps not for the game itself but rather for the expensive demo that came with the package. Unfortunately (so in retrospect) for ZOE, it was delivered with a demo version of Metal Gear Solid 2 - a move that made the game look like the poor cousin from the country compared to Hideo Kojimas stealth-based masterpiece. But for those who resisted the pressure to make the unfair comparison and struggled on with ZOEs not entirely flawless charm, the remarkable anime-influenced action game began to work really well in its own way. Sure, it was criticized for being too short and a bit too repetitive, but if you disregard the beauty flaws, there was definitely a unique experience to pick up.
