Risen

As you?d expect from the FRPG nature of the game, the island is the habitat for both human and, of course, fantasy creatures. The player arrives on the island having been shipwrecked there, therefore beginning the fantastical adventure in a state of confusion and wonder that only escalates as the mystery of the temples that have ?risen? on Faranga has to be understood.

This is not made any easier by the fact that the human overlords and their recently appointed Inquisition do not want you ? or anybody else for that matter ? to escape. A great deal of the action takes place underground ? the temples creating tunnels and catacombs that can be used for subterranean travel, discovery, battles and more.

Not all of the island is revealed to the player at the outset either as exploration, conversation and battle mean that new areas are unlocked as you level up with experience gained from the journey. So, be prepared to battle both brawn and wits as you explore Faranga taking on everything from giant moths, be-spiked slugs and more.

Different weather conditions will also effect your choices as the environments become more challenging as you penetrate further inside the mystery in your bid to make good your escape? or maybe to rule the island for good.
