BrokenDagger was a Swedish power metal act formed in Hjärup in Skåne,Sweden under the odd name of Världens Största Träd (Worlds LargestTree) in 2000. The band changed name to Broken Dagger in 2002 andreleased two demos that lead up to a record deal. The band thenreleased their one and only album, Chain Of Command in 2007.Symphonic power metal mixed with progressive elements and anatmospheric touch. They are also adding mellotron and cello to giveit a folk metal touch. The album starts really good with theopening tune, An Unwanted Child. It is followed by the darkinstrumental track The Black Lotus. After that the album takes adownward spiral and things starts to crack at the seams. Theproduction doesnt help and the band called it a day after thealbum. They were still in their early 20s and things would improve.Most of the members would be part of the Folkearth folk metalproject for several years and singer Niklas Olausson would go on toVeritate.
