TheDemonstration Archive 1996 – 1998 is a compilation album byAgalloch featuring music from the band’s unsigned years from 1996to 1998. We have Agalloch’s two first demos from 1997 and 1998 aswell as material from an unreleased 7? vinyl recorded in autumn1998. All of the material was taken from the original DAT tapes andanalog reels. Aside from some slight mastering to keep the songs atan even volume, nothing was edited or polished. The recordings of“Hallways of Enchanted Ebony” and “The Melancholy Spirit” are notthe same versions that appeared on the studio album PaleFolklore.
