The album ALegend In Their Own Lifetime is not a mustic release but anexclusive English radio interview with Robert Plant made by Englishradio reporter Crazy Chris Tetley made in the spring of 1988. Itgives a wonderful insight into the lives of a fabulous group ofmusicians. Robert Plant recalls one of John Bonham’s tips, given tohim in the days before PAs were any good: Don’t worry about themusic, leave that to us. Just go out there and look good, ‘cosyou’re not much good anyway. Robert says two weeks after their(Jimmy and Robert) initial meeting, he (Robert) took a beat-up oldsuitcase on the train from Birmingham to Pangbourne after beinginvited by Jimmy to come down for a visit. He said he stayed thenight on the houseboat, returning to Birmingham the next day.According to an anecdote in The Lemon Tree fanzine (Dec 94) onAugust 3, 1968 Robert took the train in from London to ask JohnBonham (performing with Tim Rose) if was interested in joining TheNew Yardbirds.
