RoggaJohansson’s long lasting death metal act Paganizer has acomprehensive discography featuring 15 studio albums, a slew ofEPs, compilations, and splits. This band is operating in theunderground and they have been creating some of the purest deathmetal the world has ever lain ears upon. However even if the bandhas been going for more than 25 years they rarely play live. DeathAt Bryggaren is recorded at one of those rare occasions. This liveshow took place in the autumn of 2024 at Bryggaren in Vastervik,not far from the bands hometown of Gamleby. So one of the mostinteresting things to see on a Paganizer live album is what tracksthe band will be playing. There have been several Pagazinercompilation albums over the years but most of them has been puttogether by a record label. So on a live setlist we actually seewhat Rogga and his comrades thinks are their best tracks. What wehave hear is a great mix with tracks dating back to the early yearspulled from Promoting Total Death and Dead Unburied to a lot ofnewer tracks, as for example we have two tracks from their latestalbum Flesh Requiem. Fans of Swedish death metal and hateoverproduced live albums then this is for you. This is definitely araw and real sounding live release with some amazing and powerfulsongs.
