Chris Wicked is an experienced artist from Bergen, best known asthe vocalist of Malice In Wonderland where he toured the world andreleased several albums, EPs and singles. After a tour in Chinawith Finnish Negative, the band was brought to Finland, where manyyears were spent with touring and festival work, as well as severalTV appearances. Back in Bergen, the band eventually shut down andChris has spent the last few years creating a new sound with aNorwegian accent and has now released his debut album, Aleine. Themusic is melancholic and captivating, sometimes low-key, with adark and beautiful expression, inspired by artists such as The Cureand Nick Cave. The music has, besides The Cure and Nick Cave, beencompared to artists like David Bowie and Norway’s own Seigmen andMadrugada. His deep, melancholic lyrics performed in his nativetongue, combined with a band of experienced musicians with manyinternational tours on their resumé, makes Chris a unique artist tobe experienced. Helping out on the Aleine album he invited friendslike Gaahl (Gaahls Wyrd, Gorgoroth), Hoest (Taake, Gorgoroth),Niklas Kvarforth (Shining) and V’gandr (Helheim) to collaborate,and the sound is quite stunning.
