Fully mechanical Kiev 2A from 1958, which is a soviet copy of Contax II, is in well used condition. The camera has maximum shutter speed of 1/1250 sec.

Shutter mechanism was cleaned and lubricated. Camera was tested with film at all shutter speeds after the procedure. Rangefinder has good contrast patch and works fine. However it has some dust particles which is impossible to avoid in old cameras.

Jupiter-8 50mm f/ 2.0 (copy of Zeiss Sonnar 50mm f/2) has cleaning marks and some dust particles inside, which is common for all lenses of that age. Aperture blades were serviced, hence they are oil free and in good working condition.
Original Kiev camera case is included.

Keep in mind that soviet production was oriented on quantity, but not quality. Therefore don't expect German quality even if it's an exact copy of German product.

Detected defects:
1. The lens has a scratch on the rear lens element close to the edge (see picture). It feels like the scratch mostly affected thick coating layer, rather than glass surface.
2. Previously someone changed shutter curtain straps (ribbons). However the ribbons were made shorter than the original ones. As a result two last shutter speeds do not work: 1/2 sec and B (bulb). You can switch to 1/2 sec or B (bulb) shutter speed, but you should NOT cock the shutter. If you try to do so and use force, you will tear apart the curtains or the shutter curtain straps (ribbons).
