Eterna Air Force watch for men, reference number 850.4334.47, works very well, keeps time accurately. The heart of the watch is a Meca-Quartz mechanism caliber Eterna 850, 22 jewels, Meca-quartz movements, were characterized by hybrid quartz and mechanical design. Base mechanism is Frédéric Piguet 1270. The chronograph is operated mechanically, not by the quartz movement.
Functions: Central hours, central minutes, central chronograph seconds stopwatch, small 60 seconds sub-dial at 6:00, 30 minutes chronograph counter at 9:00, 12 hour chronograph counter at 3:00, date at 6:00, moon- phase indicator at 12:00.
The chronograph works perfectly, it resets to 0, all the subdials work correctly. The pushers work easily and correctly. Beautiful white case, in good condition, with gilded hour markers, also gilded hands combined with bright blue. The phases of the moon at 12 o'clock work correctly. Date with quick setting at 6 o'clock. Steel case, with 18k gold bezel inset combined with blue stone. The original crown, marked Etena, also made of 18k gold. Crystal window in very good condition. The original steel bracelet, marked Eterna, in very good condition, shows normal signs of wear. The watch fits a wrist with a maximum circumference of 18 - 18.5 centimeters. It is a remarkable collector's item!
Like the old mechanical chronographs, it is recommended that the reset is done as close to 0 as possible, because it operates at very high speeds, and the shock is very high, and the parts have a considerable age and can be fragile. The watch was serviced in March 2024, and it works within normal parameters.
The watch has a diameter of 37 millimeters without crown, lug to lug 39 millimeters, lug width 19 millimeters, thickness 10 millimeters.
