Messiah from Detroit Michigan was formed in 1979 and was anearly Christian metal act and they would go on and release one ofthe finest Christian metal albums of all time, Final Warning in1984, and still not many seems to be aware of this band or thisalbum. Messiah took a different road than Stryper or Leviticus whowere quoting bible verses into their music. Messiah never mentionsJesus in their lyrics nor do they preach a Christian message.Instead they wrote clever lyrics that dealt with biblical andphilosophical themes of good vs. evil, judgement, free will,temptation, sin, Lucifer, and the existence of God. So my guess isthat many that actually got hold of the album back in the 80swerent aware that it was a Christian band but just an amazingtraditional 80s metal band. The band would go on and release theGoing Insane EP the year after and its another monster that arealmost impossible to find in its original pressing. This re-issuenot only give you a chance to hear this rare album but you willalso get bonus material from their 1979 demo not practially no onehas heard before. Im sorry Stryper, Jerusalem, Leviticus but heresone band that really did some breathtaking Christian metalmusic.
