The Chicago Select's roasted maple neck and fretboard allows the bass to effortlessly cut through and ground the densest of arrangements. Providing great resistance against temperature and humidity, it offers a tight bass response, fantastic sustain and incredible levels of attack. The inclusion of these hand-selected tonewoods make the Chicago Select the perfect choice for those with expansive rigs who regularly incorporate distortion pedals and strive for a tone that makes a punch. This is reinforced via the inclusion of a bolt on neck, ensuring even more brightness to compete against walls of guitars.

High spec components

Each component on the Chicago Select has been chosen by our team of specialists to guarantee an unparalleled playing experience. The bass features a single saddle bridge system. Unlike traditional saddles, the Chicago Selects are not physically attached to one another. Thanks to this each string will possess its own bridge, minimising the risk of "mud" and sympathetic resonance so that each bass line and chord sounds clear and defined.

The inclusion of a split-coil humbucking bass pickup grants you instant access to punchy, powerful and articulate bass tones. Compared to covered, open coil pickups offer greater clarity and definition, and minimise the risk of feedback when in close proximity to high-powered amplifiers. What's more, the linear humbucking pickup provides a variety of tones, allowing the bass to grow with you as your style and technique develops.
