New palette of sound

The latest additions to the AAX line are an introduction to a whole new palette of sound by Sabian. With a smaller raw bell, these versatile cymbals produce a crispy sound that blends nicely into any musical style. The thin weight cymbals provide a bright and powerful sound, making them perfect for recording or live performances.

What's changed?

Sabian has always pushed the boundaries of innovation by using the latest manufacturing technology to answer new trends in music and sound. The latest cymbals in the AAX Series are no exception to this. Sabian listened to the praises and points of improvement from their audience and designed the new AAX cymbals in response. You asked for thinner, faster and more complex cymbals, and so Sabian ensured that they can make the best cymbals to suit the requirements of their audience.

New hammering style

With a completely new hammering style the new AAX cymbals produce a more complex and slightly darker sound. More high frequencies are introduced into the sound, resulting in a wider band of frequency, making for brighter highs and more complex lows.

The hammer marks are now much more visible on the surface of the cymbal due to a larger and rounder peen – making for great complexity of sound.
