Genista Series

The original Genista kits are renowned for their exceptional sound quality and performance within the drumming world. The Genista was the first unsupported birch shell to be produced by Premier, offering the classic sound that we all know and love. Its distinctive look derived from a now iconic individual tension lug design. Like the original, the all-new Genista Heritage embraces these core aspects and returns to that much sought-after design.

Hardware that complements the shells

The Premier Genista features Premier’s bespoke designed brackets with integral memory locks that offer maximum stability and reliability. The inclusion of a low-profile ISO mounting system enhances the tonal resonance of the mounted toms, offering additional sustain whilst reinforcing the classic Genista look. This, when paired with the 2.3mm triple-flange hoops, helps minimise the risk of undesirable overtones for articulate tom fills.

Finishes that pay homage to the predecessor

Every Genista Heritage finish pays tribute to its predecessors with a choice of stain and sparkle high-gloss lacquer finishes. Synonymous with quality, at the heart of each shell is the famous "P" badge. Each Genista shell is also protected with an anti-moisture internal lacquer to preserve and prolong its life in humid environments.
