Perfect For Ensemble Playing

Noted for its bright sound, the xylophone is suited for use in symphony orchestras and chamber ensembles, as well as classrooms. The Gear4music xylophone has 3 octaves; a range well suited to use in concert performances, and one that will fit neatly into any tutoring environment.

The use of Mahogany yields a deep and complex tone, thanks to the grain and density of the tonewood. For a smooth sound that can fill up a room as well as carry itself among an ensemble the mahogany Xylophone by Gear4music is a versatile instrument with a wealth of tone and character.

Hand-Crafted For Variety Of Tones

A variety of tones can be produced by each of the hand-crafted mahogany tonebars that create a resonant and toneful sound suitable for percussion enthusiasts. If you are after very fast runs and passages to compliment a stirring section, hit the ends of the bars for a more suitable timbre.

Easy To Transport/Assemble

The Gear4music Xylophone is easy to transport, thanks to a durable carry case that will help get your instrument to theatre pits, rehearsal spaces and classrooms with minimal fuss. Also included is a metal stand that allows you position the instrument at a comfortable playing height.

Mallets

As well as this, the xylophone comes with a pair of mallets so you have everything you need to get playing straight away. Different types of mallet will generate different sounds - two hard mallets will create a dry character, whereas softer rubber mallets produce muted chords with a soft, warm tone. The 3 Octave Xylophone by Gear4music provides you with a pair of hard mallets which are great for both practice and ensemble work.
