Aprils LASports Arena, Junes Nassau Coliseum and Junes Boston Garden areamong the three biggest audiences on the 1975 US Tour. Materialfrom the Boston show (18th of June) is wonderfully documented onthis album but unfortunately to complete. The show opened withmateral that later would become songs on Animals, the albumreleased 2 years after. This was an era where big bands could tryour their new songs, and evolving them, live before an audience.What we get here is an album that starts an hour into the show withSpeak To Me and Breathe and then its complete up to the 20 minutelong version of Echoes that are missing. But even if its notcomplete its an amazing show. It is absolute on fire, and it showsjust how incredible Pink Floyd were live during this period. Thesongs were synched up with videos rear-projected onto a largecircular screen above the band/stage (including topless slo-modancing by Roger Water’s then Penthouse centerfold wife, Jude).During On the Run a 3-foot Buck Rogers like model rocket spewingsparks slid down a wire across the Garden to crash and burn behindthe band on stage. As if this isnt enough we also get 5 amazingdemo versions. Any Floyd fan need to get this one
