[/n][/n]LONDON UNDERGROUNDLondon Underground - Italian Prog-Rock/Pop CD, featuring STANDARTEmembers
[/n][/n][/n]Format:CD
[/n]Condition: NEARMINT/NEAR MINT
[/n]Year of Release:2000
[/n]Cat. No.:RHCD23
[/n]Label: Record HeavenMusic
[/n][/n][/n][/n]When I started listeningto LONDON UNDERGROUND's debut album, it didn't come as a surprisethat this was another outstanding release from the Record Heavenlabel.
[/n][/n]LONDON UNDERGROUND arethree Italian musicians and three additional musicians, playingBritish 60's & 70's influenced pop-rock with lots of vintagekeyboards such as Hammond, Organ, Moog, Clavinet andMellotron.
[/n][/n]Judging by the music, their biggest influence seems to be The BEATLES. But there's alsoreminiscences to ATOMIC ROOSTER, BIGELF, KING CRIMSON, PINK FLOYD,SHADES OF ORANGE and STANDARTE. The band also featuring theex-STANDARTE drummer and vocalist: DanieleCaputo.
[/n][/n]If it wasn't for theexcellent production you could've easily believed that this albumoriginated from the 60's or the 70's. My favourite tracks are thepsychedelic "Worst Is Yet To Come", the BEATLES and Easterninfluenced "Everywhere I Go", the ballad "Was She Worth My Time",Love Is A Beautiful Thing" and the groovy closing track "WhatchaGonna Do".
[/n][/n]Summary: This is ahighly recommended album from a Swedish label, with an Italianband, playing British sounding pop (prog) rock.
