Double album on green marbled vinyls with gatefold cover

During the difficult years of the pandemic, Finland’s dark metalmasters Amorphis seized their time at home to record this energeticlive album Queen Of Time (Live At Tavastia 2021). This is theFinnish veterans fourth live record, but the first to focusexclusively on one album. Released in 2018, Queen Of Time isnotable for featuring the original Amorphis line-up for the firsttime since the seminal Tales From The Thousand Lakes (1994), butalso for being one the strongest records in the band’s largelyflaw-free catalogue. Performing it live in its many-splendoredentirety and to an audience of devoted acolytes in Tavastia,Finland, Amorphis sound enraptured by their own material and thecollective experience of bringing it to life. This is a fans-onlyaffair, but it’s a righteous and joyful one. Queen Of Time boastssome of the finest songs Amorphis have ever written, and thanks toimmaculate performances and a huge, venue-filling sound, thisfront-to-back odyssey practically roars from the speakers.Genuinely great live albums are few and far between, but Queen OfTime (Live At Tavastia 2021) presents a truly worthwhile moment intime, captured for posterity.
