ABOUT THE MUSIC

Stevan Pasero was born in 1954 in San Francisco. He began playing guitar at the age of 10 and has since studied and collaborated with concert masters and teachers on his way to being a recognized guitar virtuoso. Starting out playing classical guitar, then eventually becoming interested in jazz and flamenco, Stevan attended San Francisco State University where he studied musical analysis, harmony and composition, which led to some post-graduate work in transcription. Mr. Pasero has since been featured on more than 17 recordings, has transcribed over 30 major symphonic works, produced approsimately 40 studio recordings for other artists, and composed well over 500 pieces.

Stevan's recordings feature a variety of acoustic guitar styles such as classical, flamenco, New Age jazz, Latin, Brazilian and original. For over ten years Pasero has been opening eyes and turning heads throughout the music community. His dazzling technique allows his repertoire to shine, yet doesn't get in the way of the tangible emotion that is the hallmark of his compositions.
