Infrared -Reflections 1983-1989 cd US metal ala Queensryche

Even today,more than 40 years after the beginning of that ’golden’ decade, newunknown recordings emerge and meticulous labels shed light onamazing forgotten material from several bands, which for numerousreasons didn’t manage to get a contract with a major label, thus,most of them were led to a dissolvement / split up. The bands andtheir moniker remained to obscurity, although they had recordedreally good music, even if that was only in demos or independent /DIY releases. Luckily we have so many fans and labels trying to digup material with those bands that never got their chance at majorstardom. Old master-tapes founded in forgotten warehouses aregetting a new life. One of those bands are Infrared from San Diego.The band plays American metal inspired of acts such as CrimsonGlory, Heir Apparent, Vicious Rumors, early Fates Warning and earlyQueensryche. The bands name is even taken from the Queensrychetune, I Dream In Infrared. The band kept going between 1983 and1989 and they went through several line-ups. Key members wereguitarist Jason Sweeny and the great vocalist Don Duzan, whosevoice sounded amazingly similar to Geoff Tate’s of Queensryche. Thematerial on Reflections is deriving from two recordings in 1987 and1989 and is consisted of 10 songs. Infrared changed their name in1989 to Martial Law and recorded a three-track demo, which is alsoincluded as bonus tracks. All the material has been remastered andsounds amazing. Tha album features some inspiring songs andincludes several anthems which makes Reflections a real gem ofrelease. US metal fans and early Queensryche fans are going toadore this album.
