Changes in our payment service - Swedish users only
Tradera is making it even easier to pay!
- Swish becomes an integrated payment method
- Seller KYC (Know Your Customer) management becomes easier
- You can quickly and easily buy shipping directly from your balance
- Invoices will disappear for the vast majority of sellers
We are able to make these improvements because we now have a license to operate payment services and are therefore not limited by external providers.
We will launch the new features for all Swedish private individuals in May. We hope to be able to move all Swedish business accounts before the summer.
Swish:
Previously, we have not had any insight into what happens after the buyer has opened their Swish app. This has meant that Swish has not worked like other payment methods on the platform and has not been as secure as the integrated payment methods.
By integrating Swish so that payments go through Tradera, Swish will work like other payment methods in terms of both functionality and security, while we retain the ease of paying with Swish.
Some of the benefits of Swish going through Tradera:
- We can automatically mark items as paid
- All Swish transactions are visible on your balance
- We can offer buyer protection when you choose to pay with Swish
- Increased security for both buyers and sellers
- You can receive Swish payments even if you do not have Swish
Easier KYC:
Under current regulations, marketplaces are required to have certain basic knowledge of buyers and sellers. In the past, we have, in some cases, needed to request ID documents and certificates of registration in order to comply with KYC requirements.
This process has been time-consuming for you as a user, lead times have sometimes been long, and for users with protected personal data the process has been cumbersome.
In our new process, we handle identification with a BankID verification, after which you only need to answer a few simple questions about your use of Tradera.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Does this mean that I can no longer receive payments directly to my Swish number?
A: That's right, Swish now goes through Tradera payments just like all other payment methods. This makes it easier to see when an item has been paid for and what fee has been deducted for each sale than when Swish was handled outside of Tradera.
Q: Why have you changed so that Swish goes through Tradera?
A: It increases security on the platform and makes it easier for you as a seller to see when you have been paid. For you as a buyer, it works as before, but you can now choose to add buyer protection when paying.
