Right of withdrawal
Here you will find information aimed at Swedish business sellers regarding the terms that apply when a buyer wants to exercise their right of withdrawal. This does not apply to purchases between private individuals.
14-day right of withdrawal
As a business seller on Tradera, you are required by law (2005:59) on distance and off-premises contracts to offer and inform your buyers of a 14-day right of withdrawal, regardless of the order value. The right of withdrawal begins when you and the buyer enter into the purchase agreement. The buyer has 14 days from the day after they received the item to return it. The buyer has the right to cancel the purchase, return the item and get a refund without undue delay. As a business seller, you must inform the buyer before the purchase about who is responsible for the cost of a possible return shipment. If this does not happen before the purchase is made, you as the seller are responsible for the cost of a return.
Information about the right of withdrawal before purchase
Before the purchase, you as a seller are obliged to inform the buyer about the right of withdrawal and how the buyer should proceed to cancel the purchase in applicable cases.
Information about the right of withdrawal after purchase
After the purchase has been completed, you are obliged to inform the buyer about the right of withdrawal once again. A tip is to add this information under settings in the purchase terms field. You can easily do this via My Tradera or Sello. If you have not informed the buyer about the right of withdrawal both before and after the purchase, the withdrawal period is extended and you as the seller are responsible for the shipping costs of a return.
