Pre-order sales and dropshipping

To sell an item on Tradera, the seller must have the item in their possession.

Why do we have this rule?

Pre-ordering or so-called dropshipping means that a seller lists an item that they do not currently have in their possession. This often involves listing an item and, after the purchase, ordering the item from a reseller, directly to the buyer's address. The reason we have regulations on pre-ordering is that the risk of dissatisfaction and non-delivery increases.

Prohibited actions

  • Selling items that you order afterwards (so-called dropshipping)
  • Selling, for example, a movie, a game, or music before the official release date
  • Offering pre-orders of an item
  • Shipping goods from a warehouse outside the EU to a buyer within the EU (applies only to business sellers)

Permitted to sell

  • Selling an item that you own or that exists
  • Selling, for example, a movie, a game, or music before the official release date has been international but not in Sweden
