Bidding rules

All bids placed on Tradera are binding.

The only exception is if the reserve price has not been met, in which case bids below the reserve price are not considered accepted bids.

As a seller, you are also obligated to accept the highest bid as long as the reserve price has been met.

No, since the second-highest bidder has been informed that they have been outbid, they are no longer bound to their bid. If no one else bids, it is up to the second-highest bidder to decide whether or not to complete the deal. If any new bids are placed after the highest bidder has withdrawn, these bids are binding.

Under "Sold" you can report a missed payment if the buyer has not completed the purchase. We always recommend that you try to contact the other party before reporting.

Upon the first report, a warning email will be sent informing the buyer that it is not allowed to not pay for a won purchase. If the buyer has multiple reports of unpaid goods, the account may be suspended. The suspension time varies depending on several factors.

A negative review does not weigh as heavily as a report of non-payment, i.e. it takes more negative reviews than reports to have an account blocked. This is because you can get a negative review for several different reasons, which is why it is important to report when the buyer does not pay.

It may also be that the account has been blocked but recently reopened. The previous history remains even after the suspension period has passed. If you get more reports of non-payment after you have recently been blocked for the same reason, the suspension period will be significantly longer.

Bid rigging

Bid rigging involves manipulating the selling price and can mean that a buyer pays more for an item than they would have if the price had not been artificially inflated. It is not permitted to bid on ads from family members, friends, colleagues, or other close acquaintances, even if you intend to buy the item.

Click on "Report for review" at the bottom of the ad. Select "other reason" and specify why you suspect bid rigging in the description.

Both the seller's and the bid rigger's accounts will be suspended if we can verify that bid rigging has occurred. If you have won an ad where the price has been manipulated through bid rigging, you are also not obligated to complete the transaction.
