Complaint
Information for business sellers about the terms that apply when a buyer wants to exercise their right to make a claim. This does not apply to purchases between private individuals.
3-year warranty
In case of complaints, the Consumer Sales Act applies, which means that the buyer has the same right to make a claim as if the product was purchased in a regular store. The buyer has a 3-year warranty and should report the defect within 2 months of discovering it.
Actions in case of defective goods
If the product is defective, it is your duty as the seller to rectify this. In cases where the product is returned to the seller, the seller pays for the return shipping. Remember to discuss the options with the buyer beforehand. To resolve the situation, you can for example:
- Fix the defect in the product
- Send a new, defect-free product to the buyer
- Make a price reduction
- Give the buyer compensation for repair
- Cancel the purchase and refund the money
