Examples of reasons for a blocked account
All users on Tradera can choose to close their own account. Immediately after deregistration, your public profile will no longer be visible on the site.
When you close your account, the countdown for our retention policy begins, i.e. the period we are required to save information about the account. Once this period has passed, all personal data on the account will be released. You can read more about our personal data handling in our privacy policy.
Buyers who repeatedly withdraw from purchases after winning bids may have their account blocked for between 1-6 months depending on whether it is the first time they have been blocked or if it is a repeated behavior.
Users who repeatedly violate our advertising rules may be blocked for between 1-6 months. Before the account is blocked, at least one written warning is sent via Tradera messages.
The length of the block varies depending on which rule has been violated, for example, selling copies gives a longer block as it is illegal to sell copies.
Unpaid and overdue invoices that have been forwarded to Intrum lead to the account being blocked until the debt to Intrum is paid. For questions about the collection invoice, you should always contact Intrum on +468-616 76 66.
If we see indications that someone unauthorized has accessed the account, we will block the account. For us to be able to reopen the account, you need to contact our customer service to complete a BankID verification if your a swedish user, Mit-ID verification for Danish users and users from other countries will have to send a picture of their passport to verifikation@tradera.com
You will also need to change your password on your account and possibly other services where you use the same password.
Users who are guilty of serious violations such as attempted fraud, harassment or other illegal activities will be permanently blocked.
Frequently Asked Questions about Blocked Accounts
You can usually find the reason for the block in the message you receive when you try to log in. The block period is also stated there. You should also have received a Tradera message and an email regarding the closure.
If the account has been closed due to a rule violation, it will automatically reopen when the block period has expired. You can see the date in the box that appears when you try to log in via a web browser.
For an account that has been closed due to a collection claim, the account will be reopened 1-2 banking days after the invoice has been paid.
For other blocks, we recommend that you contact our customer service.
We do not open the account before the block period has passed.
It is not permitted to continue selling from a company account if the company has ceased operations. These company accounts are closed automatically and you will not be notified.
If you are terminating your company, we also recommend that you close the Tradera account that is linked to the company.
We cannot pay out money to a company that has ceased operations, so if you are selling from a company account where the company has ceased operations, you will not be able to receive payment for these goods.
