Beskrivning
Ciny Super-Automatic
Up for sale is an exceptionally rare 1970s timepiece: a Ciny Super-Automatic Incabloc “TV Dial,” reference 4060.
This piece appears to be an undocumented flagship model produced shortly before the quartz crisis and is a true collector’s item for anyone interested in lost history and obscure Swiss watchmaking.
After extensive research, there is currently zero online documentation, catalog entry, or photographic record of this exact reference (4060) anywhere on the internet. It is, in that sense, a genuine “lost media” piece.
Movement
Powering the watch is a premium Swiss A. Schild (AS) 2873 automatic caliber with 17 jewels.
Caliber: A. Schild (AS) 2873
Jewels: 17
Finish: High-end gilt (gold-plated) finish
Winding: Automatic winding via rotor and manual winding via crown
Markings: West End Watch Co. “W” logo, “17 Jewels Swiss Made,” and “2873” below the balance wheel
Rotor: Decorated with a brushed/textured finish
This is the premium gilt (gold-plated) version of the Swiss A. Schild (AS) 2873 automatic caliber.
Display
The watch features a striking sunburst orange-to-black gradient “fume” dial with a vignette effect.
Dial Features
Dial: Sunburst orange-to-black gradient “fume” dial with vignette effect
Indices: Individually faceted, applied indices elevated above the dial
Hands: Three central hands — hour, minute, and slim center sweep seconds
Luminous hands: The hour and minute hands feature luminous inserts that only glow briefly under a flashlight
Date: Dedicated date window positioned at 3 o’clock
Case & Crystal
Case: Stainless steel “TV-style” cushion case
Design: Sharp, unpolished lines characteristic of collectible 1970s designs
Crystal: Domed acrylic crystal
Crystal condition: Clear and free of major blemishes
The case retains its sharp, original lines and unpolished finish.
Case Diameter: 37mm (excluding the crown)
Lug-to-Lug Distance: 40mm
Condition
The watch is fully functional, currently running, and keeping time.
It is in incredible, like-new condition and can be considered a genuine New Old Stock (NOS) piece.
Notably, the original factory protective plastic sticker on the caseback was only recently removed.
The watch comes equipped with an aftermarket flexible, period-correct vintage-style stainless steel expansion band.
