The Agfa Rondinax 35U daylight developing tank was first produced around 1950, with its underlying patent filed in 1950 and published in 1954, though the underlying concept and earlier patents for this type of developing tank go back to the 1930s.

Origin: The Rondinax was an Agfa invention from Germany.
Purpose: It was a daylight-loading tank designed to allow photographers to develop 35mm film without needing a darkroom.

The Rondinax and similar tanks helped popularize home developing of 35mm film in the 1950s.

The Rondinax 35 Daylight Dev is a 35mm film development tank that can be loaded and used in the light. This means that no part of the developing process must occur in darkness, as is the case with most other types of development tank, like the typical Paterson tank that almost every new film shooter will use today.

There are signs of use by the previous owner who has since passed on. There are no signs that this unit is defective.

Tested the spiral drum, tension band, film clip and levers and knobs. They all seemed to work as described in the manual. There is no visible crack to the tank.
Made of bakelite and rubber, intended for 35mm film.

Familien kan ikke bekræfte at han nogensinde brugte den.

Jeg er ikke kamerakyndig og kan ikke bekræfte at den virker men alle dele ser ud til at være tilstede og i perfekt stand. Jeg har testet alle knapper, håndtag og “film clips” som bevæger sig som står i manualen. Ingen synlige revne i vandtanken.
