Metal Mirror were formed in the county of Middlesex in 1979, atthe height of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal movement. Oneyear later, they released one of the most legendary 7? singles ofthe entire period, namely English Booze and Rock & Roll Ain´tNever Gonna Leave Us on the M+M Records label. Today, the originalsingle is a precious collector´s item selling for three figuresums. Touring for Metal Mirror intensified after the release oftheir single in 1980. While gigging in and around the capital, theband rehearsed a lengthy live-set consisting of nearly 20 originalcompositions. Before disbanding in 1982, Metal Mirror only everplayed about 30 live shows and at this point in time everybodyinvolved with Metal Mirror just felt that this was it. This is aloud and heavy ode to English booze so pour another pint or two ofluke warm ale or stout and flip the single over for the insanelyrough and previously never before reissued Rock´n´Roll Ain´t NeverGonna Leave You and you´ll be in DIY-metal-punk-pub-heaven.
