Have A Hangover With is a split single between the Finnish punkband Anal Thunder and the New York hardcore act No Redeeming SocialValue. Anal Thunder was founded in 1997 in Lappeenranta. Alcohol isa contributing factor in the band and they regularly refer to it intheir lyrics. Their lyrics are deliberately provocative and theband does not encourage anyone to drink too much, unless they wantto be branded as strolling along like an idiot. As the band membershave grown older, political themes have also appeared in theirwork. The two tracks here is some fine street punk rock with raspyvocals accompanied by Bad Religion sounding backing vocals. Rarelydo the Finns cross the three-minute-line, they are smart enough toconcentrate their songs into fast, furious and phenomenal punksmashers. No Redeeming Social Value, also known as NRSV, was bornout of the gritty New York hardcore scene of the late ’80s.Alcohol, marijuana and parties are major themes in the group’smusic and they have spent decades turning packed rooms intofull-blown parties. Known for their beer-soaked anthems andtongue-in-cheek take on hardcore culture, the Queens-based bandremains a beloved fixture for fans who crave fun, energy, andunapologetic chaos.
