Vintage glass bowl Fuga in impressive turquoise color. An iconic series from 1950s of glass in a sleek modernist style by Sven Palmqvist, one of the pioneers of this movement. Created as a limited edition Fuga glass to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Orrefors in 1998. Marked: 1998 Orrefors Fuga.

Pieces from this series are part of the permanent collections at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York and many other museums and galleries worldwide.
In 1957, the series was awarded the Grand Prix at the Milan Triennale - the most prestigious design award of its time.

Produced at the Orrefors glassworks, Sweden.
Turquoise crystal.
Signed.
