Los Santos: a lively big city full of self-help gurus, aspiring stars and celebrities on dekis who, even though they were once the big poster name of the western genre, now have to fight to stay dry during the economic crisis.

In the midst of this blissful mess, there are three very different criminals who do what they can to guarantee their own happiness and success: Franklin, a former street criminal who is now looking for the opportunity that will give him real money; Michael, a scoundrel whose time in the open air is less glamorous than he had hoped for; and Trevor, a violent maniac who lives for the adrenaline rush he gets from his crimes. The gang begins to run out of opportunities and they choose to risk everything in a number of daring and dangerous shocks that can make them rich for life.
