Quaglino's is one of the world's most successful and talked about restaurants, designed to be functional, sensational and unforgettable. Over 100 recipes are included, all of which have been adapted from the menu for use in a domestic kitchen. Richard Whittington, hailed as one of today's best food writers, also provides a fascinating overview of the skill and enterprise that combine to make such an enormous restaurant work.
This book is a riot with great photos of the restaurant when it reopened in 1993 and other photos from the history of the place. It is beautifully written and informative about the process of opening this seminal restaurant. And the recipes are great too. Sadly the revamped restaurant that this book depicts was given another makeover in around 2017 and it is now not so great. So buy this book whilst you can!
