A solid soundbar (actually a sound projector) that, through its 42 elements, sends sound beams that are reflected against the walls of the room, thus simulating a complete 5.1 system. Unfortunately, the surround sound did not work optimally in my living room, which is irregular and has an open plan, but if you have a more traditional rectangular room, it works perfectly.

The YSP-1000 supports Bolby Digital, Dolby ProLogic II and DTS with optical and digital inputs. It also has Yamaha's surround program that they have in their home theater receivers.

The configuration can be done easily via the graphical OSD interface on the TV (which requires the TV to have an input for analog video). There is also the option to do it automatically via a measurement microphone, which I unfortunately do not have, but it can be purchased on Amazon for around 300 SEK, but it works well to set it manually as well.

For smaller rooms, no subwoofer is needed and for larger rooms, you can connect any subwoofer as it has a low-level RCA subwoofer output.
