Rare and highly collectible vintage Bon Bon Cat metal pencil case from 1988. This kitsch stationery piece was made in Taiwan by Chyuan Shyang Stationery Co. and is part of the popular Bon Bon Cat series, highly sought after among kawaii and vintage stationery collectors.

The lid reads Bon Bon Cat Come and Play in Bon Bon’s Happy World and the bottom reads Bon Bon Cat Welcome to Bon Bon’s Happy Little World. Inside the lid is the original printed English story text about the playful kittens. Includes the original removable metal tray, allowing use as a two-compartment pencil case. The tray is marked Bon Cat Club Bon.
Classic 1980s pastel tones, charming illustrated cat scenes, and sturdy metal construction make this a beautiful display piece while remaining fully functional.

Condition: Very good vintage condition with minor denting to the metal. Inner lid text slightly faded toward the end.
