Pair of Japanese Imari Porcelain Plates – Arita – Late 19th / Early 20th Century

A pair of Japanese porcelain plates decorated in the traditional Imari ware palette of underglaze cobalt blue and iron-red. The plates feature a segmented rim with floral and bird motifs, and a central basket with flowers, a design typical of export porcelain from Arita.
Such Imari-style plates were widely produced for export during the Meiji period and the early 20th century.

Condition:
One plate shows visible age-related cracks in the porcelain body. The other plate is generally in good condition with normal wear consistent with age.
