The complete surviving works of Jean Vigo, one of the most singular and influential figures in the history of French cinema, collected in this Curzon Films limited edition. In a brief career cut short by tuberculosis at the age of 29, Vigo created four films of startling originality: the documentary short À propos de Nice (1930), Taris (1931), the anarchic school comedy Zéro de Conduite (1933) and the lyrical masterpiece L'Atalante (1934). Together they represent a body of work that has inspired generations of filmmakers and remains as vital and strange today as when first made.
