Sean Connery stars in this sci-fi thriller written and directed by Peter Hyams. Federal Marshall William O'Niel (Connery) is sent to Io, one of Jupiter's largest moons, to investigate a series of deaths at a mining outpost. Conditions there are harsh and O'Niel soon uncovers a shocking secret: the workers are being supplied with a powerful drug which increases their productivity but also causes psychosis after prolonged use. As he attempts to bring those responsible to justice, they in turn seek to silence him forever. The cast also includes Peter Boyle, Frances Sternhagen and Kika Markham.
