The collection of watches for divers in the TAG Heuer brand's offer appeared only in 1979 and was a complement to the brand's previous offer, which specializes mainly in watches referring to motor sports and aviation (Carrera, Autavia, Monaco). In the early 1980s, the company defined five characteristic features of a diving watch: minimum 200m water resistance, screw-down crown, sapphire glass, diving ring rotating in one direction and the use of luminous material on the dial elements. The Aquaracer collection appeared in 2004, as a separate group of diving watches. The presented model is one of the last Aquaracer lines, which debuted in 2021.
