Explosive and highly flammable items are often classed as dangerous goods and may not be sent by post or with transport companies. Some chemicals and treated materials can also be hazardous to health, and trade in them is prohibited or restricted under Swedish and European law. Prohibited to sell
Fireworks, sparklers, flares, signal rockets and other pyrotechnic articles
LPG, paraffin, petrol, lighter fluid and other flammable liquids and fuels
Gas cylinders and gas containers, even empty ones
Matches
Explosives precursors, meaning chemicals that can be used to make explosives
Loose airbags, steering wheels with airbags, airbag gas generators and deployed airbags
Seatbelt pretensioners
Airbag helmets
Pesticides
Items containing mercury, for example older thermometers, barometers, fluorescent tubes and energy-saving light bulbs
Blankets and throws that have been treated with moth repellent
Fire extinguishers containing carbon tetrachloride, glass fire extinguishers and brass fire extinguishers with a T-shaped handle
Other items with chemicals that do not comply with Swedish or European law
Gas cylinders, matches, airbags and seatbelt pretensioners may not be sold for collection only either. This is because we currently cannot prevent the item from being shipped anyway.
Allowed to sell
Camping stoves, as long as the gas canister is not included
Fire extinguishers that do not contain carbon tetrachloride
Jewellery containing nickel, cadmium or lead, as long as it complies with EU limits
Empty matchboxes, as long as the listing clearly states that the box is empty
