Gift cards may be sold on Tradera if they are issued by an established company and apply to a product that is allowed on Tradera. Services, on the other hand, generally may not be sold. When a service requires physical contact or work on site, it is difficult to check quality, delivery and safety. Discount codes and offers are often personal, cannot be checked by the buyer and usually may not be resold. Tradera decides what counts as an established company and which services are allowed.
Prohibited to sell
Services that require physical contact or work on site, for example a set number of hours of tradesperson help
Meetings with another person, for example escort services or services that suggest massage or intimate contact
Virtual relationships
Gift cards issued by private individuals or by companies that are not established
Discount codes and offers, for example for streaming services
Tickets issued in a person's name that cannot be transferred, for example plane tickets and named concert tickets
Personal memberships and subscriptions that may not be transferred, for example gym cards and annual passes
Followers, likes and reviews, for example on social media
Allowed to sell
Gift cards from established companies, including digital ones, for example cinema vouchers and travel gift cards, if the value and expiry date are stated in the listing
Services sold and provided by an established company, if Tradera has approved the sale
Expired gift cards and tickets, if they have clear collector's value
