Cycas siamensis

Seed-grown Cycas siamensis. Caudex ca 1.7cm.

Species is native to Myanmar, Vietnam, Thailand. It grows 300-1200m above sea level. Although it has been categorized as vulnerable on IUCN list it is currently abundant in its native habitat, but being threated due to habitat destruction.

It is a more compact plant, better suited for pot culture than some larger Cycas species. It prefers full sun to light shade. It can tolerate drought for a limited period.
