Cycas sp. 'Silver'

As of yet undescribed species from Thailand. This species has silvery leaves when mature, light green on juvenile plants. As all Cycads, they need good light conditions and sp. 'Silver' tolerates full sun from an early age. They prefer temperatures in the range of 25-35ºC. They can be grown in cooler conditions as well, but they tend to be slow and overall laggy, especially when it's below 20ºC. Substrate must be very well draining, they do not tolerate prolonged wetness, and are prone to rot if substrate is not quite draining enough.
NB! All Cycads are poisonous to humans and all domestic animals!

You will receive a plant on the images or one of equivalent size and quality.

Some of my plants have been grown outside during warm season, and as outdoor-grown plants the leaves may sport some nicks, scabs, and show some other minor damage. This is not a cause for complaint. It's normal wear and tear for plants. Overall the plants are in good condition with a healthy root system and actively growing.

When shipping, it is sometimes necessary to remove some of the leaves on larger plants to reduce transpiration and to make them fit into the package. Care will be taken to keep such removal of leaves to a minimum. This is not done to such an extent as to cause irreversible damage to a plant. New leaves will grow in and the plants will recover from such a practice.

Plants will be shipped bare-root. Will use a heat pack during winter months, November-March when necessitated by the weather.
Order processing time 1-3 days. Transit will usually take a week or so.

NB! Shipping may be delayed during extreme cold spells (temperatures around -15ºC and lower) during the winter period. You will be informed ASAP if your order will experience any such delays.
