Agave polianthiflora

Agave polianthiflora is native to Mexico. It is a compact-size Agave which will grow to an eventual spread of 30-40cm. Height of the rosette is about the same, maximum ca 30cm. It needs full sun conditions for best growth and regular watering during the summer. Agaves benefit from more watering and are not prone to rot as long as temperatures are warm. During fall, it can be kept outside till frost, however it needs to be kept completely dry during such cold weather.

My plants have been grown outside during warm season, and as outdoor-grown plants the leaves may sport some nicks, scabs, and show some other minor damage. This is not a cause for complaint. It's normal wear and tear for plants. Overall the plants are in good condition with a healthy root system and actively growing.

When shipping, it is sometimes necessary to remove some of the leaves on larger plants to reduce transpiration and to make them fit into the package. Care will be taken to keep such removal of leaves to a minimum. This is not done to such an extent as to cause irreversible damage to a plant. New leaves will grow in and the plants will recover from such a practice.

Returns not accepted. If you have a problem with any of your plants upon arrival, please let me know and I'll try to help in any way I can.

Plants will be shipped bare-root. Will use a heat pack during winter months, November-March when necessitated by the weather.

Order processing time 1-3 days. Transit will usually take a week or so.
NB! Shipping may be delayed during extreme cold spells (temperatures around -15ºC and lower) during the winter period. You will be informed ASAP if your order will experience any such delays.
