Beskrivning
Extremely rare Slowgun Loopwheeler jacket, I think they only made 1 for each location.
The design is heavily inspired by the classic B-3 flight jackets worn by American and British bomber crews during World War II to stay warm at high altitudes. It is characterized by a robust exterior—often with a soft-textured leather or suede finish—combined with a thick, insulating lining of sheepskin or faux fur/teddy fleece that is visible at the collar and sometimes at the cuffs.
This one is unique because it’s almost painted/coated with a black paint over the cotton outer layer. So it creates a cracking effect. So all the vintage heads probably knows when leather is not taken care of after many years it cracks almost like old paint and looks kinda cracked open in the leather.
Inspired by the original TYPE B-3 the original USAAC B-3 jacket. The B-3 was made for and mainly issued to bomber crews who flew at higher altitudes and was typically meant to be worn with its matching A-3 trousers. Compared to the B-2 before it, which was designed for milder weather, the B-3 was constructed with sheep shearling, which is not only better for cold-weather protection but also lighter and more productive, making it the ideal material for cold-weather equipment.
The Royal Air Force had actually adopted the sheep shearling lining before the U.S., and their ‘Irvin Jacket’, which was created in the early 1920s for the RAF, by Leslie Irvin, is widely considered to be the inspiration of the B-3. The B-3, to this day, is still considered to be one of the most widely recognizable flight jackets in the world, being immortalized by Steve McQueen and Marilyn Monroe, amongst others.
In overall amazing condition, perfect for someone who is looking for a perfect fall winter jacket.
Here is a chance of getting a very unique piece of Japanese handcraft from one of the best brands over there.
