EVOCATION - THE ANCIENT GATE DEMO 1992 **RARE**

Evocation, Swedish death metal band from Borås, was formed in the autumn of 1991.
This, the first Demo, was recorded at Sunlight Studio with producer Tomas Skogsberg. It resulted in a three track and intro demo limited to 500 copies entitled ”The Ancient Gate”. Later in an interview, Skogsberg named Evocation as ”the best demo band he ever had recorded”. For fans of Entombed, Dismember, Cemetary, In Flames, At The Gates to mention a few.
**RARE** I bought this Demo from Thoms, Evocation’s singer, and he was kind enough to record their, back then upcoming; ”Promotion Cassette -92”; Recorded and mixed at G.M.P. studios in September 1992.

Demo#1 (Limited Edition) recorded at Studio Sunlight in February 22-23th 1992.

Sales history of this demo in link below shows that the last sold copy, a clone, non original ( without red printing on tape ) was sold in 2024 for €49.00.
