Stephen Lack and Michael Ironside star in this horror thriller written and directed by David Cronenberg. Scanners are people who possess powerful psychic abilities including telepathy and telekinesis. Scientist Dr. Paul Ruth (Patrick McGoohan) works for a private military contractor which recruits scanners to fight back against a dangerous group of rogue scanners led by Darryl Revok (Ironside). After helping scanner Cameron Vale (Lack) to control his powers, Ruth asks him to infiltrate Revok's group but during their ensuing confrontation, hidden secrets are revealed and Vale must decide who to trust. The cast also includes Jennifer O'Neill, Lawrence Dane and Robert Silverman.
