JVC JR-S series receivers are all fantastic. They are HIGHLY COMPARABLE to Marantz in sound quality, maybe better! If you're into cosmetics and styling, go into Marantz, Pioneer, etc. If you're into S O U N D, JVC JR-S series receivers are all you'll EVER NEED. They're easier to maintain than most of the competition, also, (no broken potentiometer stems, no stuck flip/toggle switches, easy to access and replace fuselamps, plus easy to De-Ox controls). The JR-S300 is my chosen one, however, I have owned the JR-S600 Mark I and II, and the JR-S400, and they're wonderful, too. The 300 mentioned here, is a solid 50wpc (all you'll ever need) and the main in/pre out jacks allow you to add a power amplifier if you like, or use the receiver as a power amplifier. V E R S A T I L I T Y and PERFORMANCE abound in these JR-S receivers. can you tell that I really love them? Unless you're hung up on something other than sound quality, YOU WILL LOVE THEM TOO.

Ive owned a hundred plus pieces and this is one of the few I have kept for years. As good as any Ive heard and very undervalued. No week points. Way more power than I will ever use. Perfect sound.

It dosnt look so good as it sounds ,but the LED lights for vu meter and signal looks cool ,anyway this is good receiver and if you have a chance get one go for it
