Vintage Zenith Surf Quartz wristwatch with date display, stainless-steel case and a classic silver-tone dial. This is an attractive example of Zenith's vintage quartz production, combining traditional Swiss styling with the early quartz technology that became increasingly important during the 1970s and 1980s.

The dial features elegant black Arabic numerals, slim baton-style hands and a date window positioned at 3 o'clock. The silver-tone surface has a subtle sunburst finish and displays visible age-related patina, giving the watch a distinctive vintage appearance.

The stainless-steel case has the characteristic angular, slightly tonneau-shaped profile associated with Zenith Surf watches of the period. The caseback is marked:

The watch is fitted with a brown leather strap. Both the watch and strap show clear evidence of previous use, including scratches to the crystal, surface marks to the case, wear around the lugs and considerable ageing to the leather strap. The dial also shows scratches and patina. Please study all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the condition description.

The Zenith Surf line is increasingly interesting to collectors of 1970s and early quartz-era Swiss watches. Zenith is considerably better known for its mechanical movements, making surviving Zenith quartz models an interesting representation of the period when traditional Swiss manufacturers were adapting to the quartz revolution.
