Beskrivning
En charmig bordsklocka i pressglas med dekorativa motiv på sidorna. Klockan har en vit urtavla med svarta siffror och visare. Baksidan är i metall med justeringsmekanism.
Art Deco style frosted blue glass boudoir clock, likely dating from the 1920s to the 1940s. These types of clocks were popular decorative items for dressing tables and bedrooms.
?Visual Features
?Case Material: The case is made of a matte, satin-finished (frosted) blue glass. This specific shade is often associated with vintage Bohemian or Czech glassmakers like Curt Schlevogt or Heinrich Hoffmann.
?Design Motifs: * Front: Features a square profile with geometric "sunburst" or floral motifs in the corners, characteristic of the Art Deco era.
?Sides: Deeply molded relief scenes depicting a neoclassical female figure surrounded by flowers or foliage.
?Feet: Integrated "bun" style glass feet.
?Clock Face: * A simple white dial with black Arabic numerals.
?The word "FOREIGN" is printed at the bottom. In the early 20th century, this was a standard mark used for goods imported into the UK (often from Germany or Czechoslovakia) when the specific country of origin wasn't explicitly labeled.
?Mechanical Details
?Movement: It is a mechanical wind-up clock. The back reveals a brass housing with a winding key and a small lever for adjusting the timing (Fast/Slow).
The clock is currently NOT working
?Condition: The brass shows a natural aged patina, and there appears to be some light wear on the clock hands, which is typical for an object of this age.
?sold as renovation piece.
