105 g. 1895 Brittisk Sterling Silver Ask Med Lock – London

A gorgeous late 19th-century British sterling silver box with a hinged lid, made in London in 1895.
A beautiful piece with a clean look.
The lid is decorated with a raised wheat sheaf motif and a ribbon with Latin text underneath.
Inside, the box is gold-washed.

The box is really well-made. It opens and closes properly.
A lovely example of a Victorian silver box.

Lion Passant for sterling silver.
Uncrowned Leopard’s Head for London assay.
Date letter lowercase u for 1895.

Condition
Lovely overall condition. Very light surface wear with a few small spots and fine scratches. Nothing disturbing. The interior gold wash is well preserved.
